FinOps Engineer

Job description
As a member of the Monaco Cloud Engineering team, the Cloud Engineer? FinOps is responsible for the implementation and operation of automation, monitoring, integration pipelines, and continuous development at the core operator level.
As such, they maintain the technical base of Monaco Cloud in operational condition and contribute to the implementation of internal operational dashboards and those for clients. They also ensure the financial optimisation and monitoring of Cloud resources.
Key responsibilities
- Being able to develop a system according to the requirements.
- Promoting DevOps and FinOps best practices within the team.
- Supporting the team in its learning of the Cloud and DevOps technologies.
Continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Assisting the team with continuous deployment processes and methodologies on AWS.
- Designing development lifecycle management tools for cloud solutions.
- Participating in the development of automated solutions to monitor and support the development and production of cloud solutions.
- Responsible for source control, configuration management, maintenance of monitoring tools, monitoring of anomalies and tests and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code.
- Managing scripts to extend the functionalities of the infrastructure via APIs and open source tools (knowledge of Python, web applications and scalability issues).
Financial monitoring of Cloud resources
- Identifying, designing and implementing financial monitoring processes for Cloud resources.
- Providing and analysing financial dashboards and consumption forecasts.
- Finding avenues for financial optimisation by setting up new uses.
- Providing and sharing a funded tracking table for the cloud operator's clients.
Operational management
- Participating in the on-call cycle during non-working hours.
- Managing and maintaining the automation tools and processes used to maintain Monaco
- Cloud in operational condition.
- Deployment of monitoring systems, log analysis and system events.
- Participating in the identification, analysis and permanent correction of faults.
Required profile
Qualifications
- Good understanding of cloud technologies, migration issues and standards.
- Knowledge of VMWare, vCloud Director and AWS Well Architected Framework.
- Container orchestration skills (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher).
- Knowledge of AWS services (Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, EC2, Auto-Scaling, Budget,
- Organizations) and concepts of RI, Right Sizing, and Billing tagging.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and network fundamentals (DNS, http, TCP/IP).
- Expertise in relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch).
- Proficiency in highly available, fault-tolerant and scalable software architectures.
- Understanding of DevOps tools to ensure end-to-end management of the application lifecycle (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis, etc.).
- Expertise in IT development (Python, Ruby, Javascript, C++, Java).
- Proficiency in a script tool (Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, Powershell, etc.).
- Experience with DevSecOps tools (Qualys, Fortify or OWASP).
