Job description
As a member of the Monaco Cloud Engineering team, the Cloud Solutions Architect guarantees the operational excellence of the services operated by Monaco Cloud.
As such, they are responsible for the definition, development, testing and deployment of all activities and processes related to Cloud services used for integration, deployment, supervision or compliance.
With their experience, they are involved in the development of the strategy and management of the Monaco Cloud engineering team. In addition, they collaborate in the design of new Cloud services and must be able to build, supervise and manage the Cloud infrastructure on a large scale.
Key responsibilities
- Setting up the tools and solutions necessary for running operations and ensuring that the products and services created are standardised and secure.
- Providing operational governance including tools, processes and a framework to automate, supervise and manage complex environments.
- Creating automated patch update processes on deployed services and applications (canary, blue/green) and test automation framework.
- Implementing the customer support chain and managing incidents, logs, aggregation, correlation, inventory, capacity and tagging.
- Ensuring the rapid deployment of new solutions in the cloud (integration, deployment, testing, management and configuration tools).
- Developing performance indicators to improve operational processes, tools, security and financial efficiency (continuous cost optimisation model).
Required profile
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of AWS Cloud Computing, challenges related to the transition to cloud services as well as associated standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of VMWare, vCloud Director and AWS Well Architected Framework.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform and Cloudformation).
- Proficiency in configuration and automation management tools (Chef, Puppet and Ansible).
- Container orchestration skills (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher).
- Expertise in IT development (e.g.: Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Ability to administer Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Good knowledge of network fundamentals (DNS, http, TCP/IP).
- Expertise in relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB,
- Redis, ElasticSearch).
- Expertise in monitoring, telemetry, log and table tools (ELK or Splunk).
- Proficiency in micro-services, serverless, event-driven, SOA and REST architectures.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and supervision systems.
- Experience in building large distributed, scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
